Moustaches and Selfies.

This afternoon was Becky's birthday tea party. It was the cutest thing ever! She had little pies, lots of cakes, cookies and anything else tea party-related you can think of. I also have a new found love for Rooibos tea after accidentally pouring rooibos instead of five roses - it's delish. She also had the cutest set-up where she had a whole lot of props you could use to take photos - there were mustaches on a stick, hats, fairy wand, pearls. Along with those photos we took a lot of selflies. A lot. I literally took my friend's iPhone and took about 10 photos of myself. It was rather hilarious - almost like photo bombing someone else's phone. All you need is good company, vinyl music, delicious food and you have a lovely afternoon despite the rainy weather.

So as the much anticipated sixteenth draws closer and closer, the excitement builds. I always get very excited around my birthday time, more so than most people do I think. Oh well, no one seems to really mind. 2 more days, wooohoo!

But I'm not going to just post about the fact that it's two days till my birthday because that would be a very boring blog post. On to more pressing matters, I have recently become obsessed with various blogs - most of them are fashion blogs of people living in the US but there is the odd South African/English blogger amongst my obsession (in want of a better word). These blogs seem to be very popular already but I'm only just stumbling upon them now... They're all on the side bar to the left of this post under Favourite Blogs. Just to name a few that I particularly love A Piece of Toast; Design Darling; Note to self and some recent ones that I have found - Damsel in Dior and Style and Pepper.

One week.

I literally LOL-ed when I saw this because that is so me! Plus it's fitting because it's my birthday in one week! Yaaaysies. The excitement builds.

If this was a movie.

So I received an early birthday present from my Australian family and my six year old cousin sent me the cutest/funniest birthday card ever! It's a Hannah Montana card and it sings Life's What You Make It!! It reminded me so much of the scene in Easy A where she receives the Pocket Full of Sunshine card and my reaction was almost identical.
