It's me.

Yes it's me, no I have not forgotten about my little blog. I don't even have a very good explanation, life just happened. I watched a YouTube video yesterday which kinda sums up my bloggers block but I wasn't really avoiding my bloggie, school just took over. But I'm back and making a half year resolution to be more regular. In the meanwhile here's a picture of a zebra wearing a crown and the YouTube video by Ella Grace.

The Fault in Our Stars.

I read the book The Fault in Our Stars by John Greene last year, recommended by Hannah, whilst on exchange. It was one of the most heart-wrenching books that I have read. It's a boy-meet-girl story except both of these teenagers have a type of cancer and they meet at a cancer support group.

One of my favourite youtubers Troye Sivan recently wrote a song about this book. It's beautifully sung and is as poignant as the book so I couldn't not share it with you. Enjoy! xo

Unplugged.

So today would've been the sixth day I would be dying surviving without internet but thanks to my lovely mother it has been restored. I may sound overdramatic to some of you but please try and function without the internet. You can't print documents because the printer is connected wirelessly, you can't blog or check other blogs, you're unable to go on to Youtube and look at the latest videos posted by various vloggers (Caspar Lee, Jack Harries and Finn Harries who occasionally does guest appearances).
So what can you do without internet on one's laptop?

• Listen to music
• Play games
• Type up documents

Also before the internet went haywire, I did download this really fun app called Flutter (as recommended from a friend) and I did play a lot with that. It controls your iTunes, QuickTime Player and all other movie and music playing programs using your webcam and hand signals.

My laptop, sad to say, became very useless to me over this time besides being able to fool around with this app; don't you think it looks rather superhero-ish? To be a bit 'philosophical', you could ask yourself the question what do people do without the internet in general? What did they do BEFORE the internet? I found I watched a lot more TV, read a few more pages of my book than I would normally read. Okay, jokes I'm only on chapter 2 after a week of having it. I was possibly more sociable with my family and I was more productive with work. 

All those benefits aside, I'm tres contente that the internet is back so that sanity has returned in my life. Call me over-dramatic or whatever but it is tough especially when all your favourite shows have returned and you can't watch them online. Nevertheless, I'm back. Hope you all had a fab weekend and survive the rest of this slow week, oh and happy Hump Day! As always, stay stylish. 

Elle me dit.

I came across this cute French song called Elle me dit (She told me) by a singer named Mika. The music video reminds me of Carly Rae Jepson in a weird way yet it is not in the slightest similar to her Call Me Maybe video. The music video is quirky and the tune is pretty catchy and it's one of those bop-around-in-your-room type of songs. The lyrics are pretty meaningful so I included the video with both the French and English lyrics. I suggest you just read the English because both the French and English come up at the same time and it's hard to follow both. Enjoy.

Are you a BBM Status Slut?

I didn't want to really have a post where I rant or express my dislike of something but I found this funny video on YouTube which pretty much sums it up plus it makes you smile. What am I rambling on about you ask? People who update their BBM statuses incessantly and unnecessarily. 10 updates in the space of 3 hours is a bit much don't you think? The worst is when there is a soccer match (or any sports match for that matter but soccer seems to be the worst) and people feel the need to express their feelings/update their contacts with the proceedings of the match. NO ONE CARES! Did you notice my use of capital letters there to express my outrage/shouting voice? Anyway I hope you enjoy this video, it's by a South African guy - I would say check out his videos but he does a pretty good job of broadcasting his videos himself at the end of his videos.

Oh wait he doesn't do the advertising thing in this video, there's another reason why I like it. Check him out Caspar Lee, support your fellow South African. Or don't, whatever.
